She came close to being paired opposite Ram Charan in his earlier films ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Bruce Lee’, but had to back out in the last minute for unknown reasons. And now for the third time, Samantha has been approached for Charan’s next, a remake of ‘Thani Oruvan’, directed by Surender Reddy. Apparently, the Chennai-beauty had agreed in principle for the leading lady role and is sorting out dates for the action thriller.
“Samantha had been approached and she was naturally elated with the opportunity. She’s trying to reshuffle her calendar to avoid a possible clash with other commitments. If everything goes according to her plan, she’ll definitely take up the project. She is aware of the fact the film offers her to exhibit her acting chops,” a source close to the unit informed Hans Talkies.
“Though the name of Miss India Aditi Arya and a few others actresses were bandied about, the makers felt Sam fits the bill,” the source added.
Samantha has a choc-o-block schedule with a slew of interesting projects like Trivikram’s ‘A…Aa’, Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam’ and Tamil superstar Vijay’s next with ‘Raja Rani’ director Atlee.
