Salman Khan shared screen space with Rekha in the 1988 film Biwi Ho Toh Aisi. And 30 years after his debut, the 52-year-old actor will reunite with Bollywood’s evergreen diva on the big screen in Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se.
Five years after Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, the Deols are back with another comedy, and this time, they have roped in Salman and Rekha for a special number in the song.
According to a report in BollywoodLife.com, the film’s team has recreated an old classic for the sequel. And in this very song, Salman will be seen with Rekha. “There was news that the song will be a remake of an evergreen hit dance track. It’s actually a reworked version of Kishore Kumar’s Rafta Rafta Dekho Aankh Meri Ladi Hai which was picturised on Dharmendra and Rekha,” a source told the website.
The report suggests that filmmaker was keen to recreate old-world charm. “Rekha has agreed to do the cameo and she will be matching steps with Dharamji again. She shot for the song yesterday. It will be another major highlight,” said the source.
Shatrughan Sinha, too, will match steps with Rekha, Dharmendra and Salman. “Shatrughan Sinha, too, has given his nod. He and the Deols have been family friends, so it’s not just Sonakshi, but even her dad agreed to shoot for the special dance track,” added the source.
