Buzz in film circles is that Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda are of course the official producers of Baahubali franchise but the film had a couple of secret investors also who pumped in resources in different ways.
Speculations are rife that veteran filmmaker K. Raghavendra Rao, who was credited as the film’s presenter, is one of the stakeholders. His role not just limited to investing a share of film’s budget but also getting govt. permissions.
Ramoji Rao reportedly lent the studio space to Rajamouli and team for free of cost so that vast sets could be erected at the Ramoji Film City. The second part’s music launch was also held at the RFC. Noted Industrialists. Nimmagadda Prasad, Raja and filmmaker Suresh Babu are speculated to have shared the financial burden.
The owner of a firm that manufactures film equipment, has become a stakeholder by lending his equipment throughout the making of Baahubali. How much each one of the aforementioned big wigs invested in the epic film is still a secret but reports suggest that everyone has contributed substantially.
Producer Shobu however denied these reports and claimed that he and Prasad Devineni were the only ones to have produced the film under Arka Media Works.
