The Telangana state government has promised to build a state-of-the-art Film City and have figured that the suitable land to set up the mega Cinema City will be spread over the 2,000 acres land at Rachakonda.
Recently, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had done with the aerial survey of the land too along with the revenue and industries departments officials.
The hillocks area, located on the Nalgonda-Ranga Reddy border, is being considered ideal for the development of mega film city since this is only 25 km away from Shamshabad airport and has NH 65 and ORR connectivity too.
All said the Film City will not be constructed by the government instead the land will be given to an industrialist who will build the film city to give tough competition to RFC. Along with Film City a Solar City and a Pharma City will also be constructed in this area and all of these mean huge employment generation!
