Last year, Shraddha Das was cloud nine that she had bagged a film to be directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Anubhav Sinha. However, little did she know that this film, Zid will turn into a nightmare of sorts for her. Over the past few weeks, the film’s promos have gone viral which brought plenty of attention to Shraddha Das and her co-star Mannara, who happens to be Priyanka Chopra’s cousin. But it turns out that all was not well between the two while shooting for the film.
Recounting the bitter experience, Shraddha Das says, “There was this scene that required the both of us to enter into a scuffle and she ended up hitting me for real. I told her to be less aggressive. I can understand you can perhaps slap someone for real to get a genuine reaction on screen, but I don’t understand battering someone for no reason.” She further adds, “I cannot stand her because of the injuries she inflicted on me repeatedly during the film shoot and yes, I don’t want to work with her in future.”
Incidentally, Mannara’s original name is Barbie Handa and she had made her debut in Telugu with Prema Geema Janta Nai, in which she was paired up with Sreeram Chandra. The film bombed at box-office; however, she seems to have changed her name to Mannara ahead of her debut in Hindi. On the other hand, Shraddha Das is busy shooting for her next bilingual film Ouija and she’ll also be seen in a special song in Naresh, Eesha starrer Bandipotu.
