In the latest development, YRF’s next ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and newcomer Vaani Kapoor, which was scheduled to hit the screens on September 13, will now be releasing a week earlier, on September 6.
The reason behind the film’s release getting preponed is that it has been invited to the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival for a grand premier on September 11. And if YRF remains stuck to their earlier plans of releasing it on September 6, it can affect the last leg of promotional campaign of the film.
Therefore, the production house has decided to prepone their film by a week so its stars can remain in India and promote the film.
Interestingly, it’s the same date when Parineeti’s sister Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Zanjeer’ is releasing.
However, chances can’t be refused that the ‘Zanjeer’ makers may decide to postpone their film by a week.
Apparently, the remake marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja. Certainly, the makers would want to release their film solo. And now, when ‘SDR’ is preponed, September 13 is open date. But, it’s still an assumption, nothing can be said surely.
