In a career spanning over five years, Sushant Singh Rajput has played varied characters on screen. From a romantic hero to a cricketer to a detective, Sushant has experimented with roles on the big screen, but with his forthcoming film Sonchiriya, he’s taking it to the next level.
The 32-year-old actor will essay the role of a dacoit in Abhishek Chaubey’s next, which is set in the 1970s.
“Sushant is playing a dacoit for the first time and wanted to get into the character before the schedule starts so he will leave for the location on January 12 to spend time with a few former dacoits. He will also lose some muscle weight to look the rustic part as well as learn rifle-shooting,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
The film, which will be shot in Chambal and Mumbai, also stars Bhumi Pednekar.
