Movie Artist Association (MAA) lifted the ban imposed on Sri Reddy after receiving criticism from all the quarters. The Film Body convened a press conference to announce the measures taken to address Casting Couch in the Industry.
Sri Reddy claimed she couldn’t control her laughter while watching the recent press meet of Movie Artiste Association (MAA). She, however, termed the U-turn of MAA as her personal victory. ‘They spoke as if in a manner ‘Pangada Chesko Sri Reddy’! Membership is my right. I would have obtained Membership in another route if they have denied it to Me. I am 20 percent satisfied with the press meet. But, MAA hasn’t responded on the actual issue. I wouldn’t call off my fight just because Membership is being offered to Me. There is no question of sparing anybody,’ she warned.
During the press meet, MAA President Shivaji Raja behaved as if Daggubati Abhiram and Kona Venkat doesn’t belong to the Industry. ‘Abhiram is neither a Director nor Producer. Kona Venkat is a writer. MAA is least concerned about them,’ he commented.
