Cinema theatres strike in Tamil Nadu has come to an end and movie halls started functioning as usual from Friday after state government assured to look into their grievances. Chennai’s theatre owners and exhibitors were part of the meeting with minister Kadambur Raju after which they decided to call off the strike and start functioning from Friday. However, since the film strike by TFPC, which began on March 1 that no new film releases will be made is still on, the theatres have no option but to screen only old or recently released movies.
