Vedika thrilled about her Bollywood debut

Vedika who has acted in award winning filmmakers’ movies like Paradesi (Bala) and Kaaviya Thalaivan (Vasantabalan) is making her Bollywood debut opposite B’town actor Emraan Hashmi. Jeetu Joseph who directed Kamal in Papanaasam is wielding the megaphone. The film is a remake of the Spanish thriller The Body. While Rishi Kapoor essays a crucial role, Sobhita Dhulipala of Kaalaakandi fame is playing a key character.

Director Jeetu Joseph reveals that Vedika was chosen for the role after several auditions and a nation-wide hunt for the perfect cast. “Vedika’s character is of a young college-going girl who has this innocence about her. She fits it to a T. I am confident that audience would lap up the fresh pair Emraan and Vedika.”

On entering Bollywood, Vedika, who has acted in many languages, says, “I waited for the right time to make my debut in Hindi. And when this meaty role came up, I just grabbed it. I am thankful to Jeetu Joseph for giving this opportunity. Emraan Hashmi is an amazing actor and I am looking forward to work with him.”
