Google Nexus 10 Android Jellybean tablet

Google is all set to launch Google Nexus 10 tablet following the much discussed Google Nexus 7 tablet. This tablet is expected to feature a screen display size of 10 inches. There are a few specifications that are being unveiled from multiple sources about Google Nexus 10 tablet. They are yet to be officially confirmed. The pricing of the product will play a vital role. However, we feel that this rumour may dent the sales of 7 inch Nexus 7 tablet. Google could have waited for more time before disclosing this model.

Key Features

  • Screen size of 10 inches

  • NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor

  • Android Jelly Bean OS

  • Optional 16 GB/ 32 GB built-in memory

To start with, this tablet will feature NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor similar to that of Google Nexus 7 tablet. This device will be powered by Android Jellybean operating system. As per the sources, it is expected that the tablet would arrive with two memory storage versions. One of them would comprise of 16 GB built-in memory storage where as the other one will feature a 32 GB in-built memory storage capacity. As of now, there is no information regarding the implementation of a micro SD card slot for further memory expansion similar to that of Google Nexus 7 tablet.

The most surprising information that has been received as per the sources is the pricing of Google Nexus 10 tablet. As per the rumours, the 16 GB version will be available at a retail price tag of close to Rs. 16,000/-. The pricing at this point is going to give a stiff competition for Apple iPad Mini. And as the name suggests Mini is much smaller than that of Google’s 10 inch Nexus tablet. This will give Google a primary advantage over Apple’s iPad.

Comparatively this 10 inch tablet will be much cheaper than iPad3 and iPad2. If the rumour about price is any thing to go by, then Google Nexus 10 tablet is almost Rs. 10,000/- cheaper than that of the latest generation iPad. It is almost Rs. 6,000/- cheaper than that of iPad2. Once this tablet is launched in to the tablet market internationally, other manufacturers will have a difficult time in competing against this technically advanced but aggressively priced android tablet.
