New Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android ICS

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S3 smartphone. The whole world is eagerly awaiting the handset’s launch. It has received 9 million pre-orders in two weeks. What has made it so successful? It is the successor of the Galaxy S2 smartphone which was one of the best smartphones of 2011.

If you want to try this already successful handset, there is good news for you. As per the reports,  Samsung started rolling out the Android ICS operating system update to the Galaxy S2 smartphones. According to a source, the new Galaxy S2 smartphones will have the Android ICS out of the box.

If you are planning to buy a SGS2 phone, remember to check the date of manufacture on the package. It should be April 2012 or later for you to avail the Android ICS. If you are already an user of the S2, you will have to wait a little longer to get the software update.

Samsung has started rolling out the update but India is yet to receive it. The delay in India is due to the presence of two versions of the smartphone. They have different processors and graphic chipsets. Samsung Galaxy S2 gets Android ICS update.

If you are interested in the smartphone, here are its highlights. It sports a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus Gorilla Glass display. It has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The handset has an 8 MP camera with LED flash. It supports high definition video recording of 1080p.
