Samsung Windows Os SmartPhone Omnia M smartphone


When it comes to Windows Phone powered smartphones, the first brand that will strike our minds is Nokia. The brand has been pushing a maximum number of handsets of this kind. Seems, like Samsung is also interested in this OS. This doesn’t mean Samsung is ditching Android. The company is reported to make the next Nexus smartphone for Google.

Last month we reported that Samsung will launch three Windows Phone based devices in 2012. It was rumored that the brand will launch the Mandel SGH-i667 smartphone and that this will be the first among the three. It was expected to run on Windows Phone Tango (WP 7.5 Refresh) operating system. Details about the other two handsets was not known that time.

Surprisingly, Samsung has launched a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango based smartphone. The handset is dubbed Omnia M. As of now, the handset will be launched in Europe soon. The release date in India has not been announced yet. There is no official announcement about the price of the device but it is believed to have a price in India of Rs 15,000 approximately.

To speak about the specifications of this smartphone, it has a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood. It sports a 4 inch Super AMOLED display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It has a 5 MP camera at the rear, 384 MB RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB. There is a front facing camera for video calling as well.

On the software front, the handset comes preloaded with many software like AllShare with SmartDJ and Music Hub features, Family story cloud based network and ChatOn messenger. Just like the other Windows Phone devices, this device will have the Microsoft Office mobile version and 25 GB of SkyDrive cloud storage.
