Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared a video recently which is so powerful that you would want everyone to see it. The actor seems to want to shun all tags that we usually attach to a person and demands to be known as an artist only. But when you watch it, you will realise there are many layers to this video. We, as Indians, should watch it because national integration is one of our major assets. Nawaz’s video claims that while he is 16.66 per cent of all religions practiced in India, he is 100 per cent an artiste. Well, we agree!

The video has Nawaz holding placards to impart his message. It has the actor talking about being 16.66 per cent Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian and every other religions that are there in the country but he is 100 per cent an artist. Check out the video right here…

If we talk about his career right now, Nawazuddin is on a high. He has managed to find that perfect balance between sensible content-drive cinema and star-driven blockbusters. He has people cheering for his histrionics in both the films. He has an interesting line-up next with Munna Michael, Manto and Chandamama Door Ke. All of them are completely different from each other which says a lot about what the actor can deliver. But what made us gape was the news which said he rejected Salman Khan’s Tubelight. According to a DNA, Nawaz turned down the offer as he was shooting for Nandita Das’s Manto during the Austrian schedule of Tiger Zinda Hai. The makers could not shift the schedule and so, they signed a new face instead of Nawaz. As an insider spills the beans, “Abbas has signed a dashing Iranian actor to step into Nawaz’s shoes.” Meanwhile, the production house (Yash Raj Films) maintains that Nawaz was never approached for the part.
