Asian dragged off Plane, Airlines lose $800 Million!

Asian-dragged-off-PlaneThe treatment meted out to a passenger of United Airlines sparked outrage. One of the security personnel has dragged a male passenger off a plane.

A Video shared online by a fellow passenger shows a Man, an Asian Doctor, screaming when a Security Officer was dragging him from his seat. The Doctor was seen bleeding when he was pulled from the seat forcibly. This incident took place before the departure of United Airlines Flight 3411 from Chicago O’Hare International Airport at Louisville on Sunday.

The Officer who violated the protocol has been placed on leave following the outrage. Airlines explains the issue is a case of over-booking. ‘The passenger was denied boarding due to over-booking and even offer $1,000 in compensation. He, however, refused to co-operate with the crew and raised his voice,’ says United CEO Oscar Munoz.

Following the outrage, Shares of United Airlines declined and it lost over USD 800 Million ($22.5 Billion to $21.70 Billion) within few hours in New York Stock Exchange. The loss could be anywhere around 5,000 crore in Indian Currency.
