Hyderabad: The committee for deciding the suitable place for new capital of Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra) has been visiting many places. In this course, they have been considering Hanuman Junction in Krishna district as one of the suitable places to be the capital of Andhra Pradesh (residual). This region has more area of assigned lands for the construction of the capital city.
The committee has proposed to include the surrounding areas of Hanuman Junction, namely, Nuziveedu, Kottapalli, Billanapalli, vempadu, Kokkirapadu, Pallerlamudi, Seetharampuram for its new capital. They also made it a mention that Gannavaram airport is just 20km away from these places and can be developed further as the airport for the new capital city. This place has been connected through all means of transportation and becomes most suitable, as reported by the committee.
It is learnt that for all these reasons, reportedly, the committee has considered Hanuman Junction as one of the suitable places apart from the region of Guntur in its surrounding areas of Nagarjunasagar.
