The Investigative Agency booked a case against Prannoy Roy, his wife Radhika and their firm RRPR Holdings for allegedly playing a role in the losses incurred by a Private Bank. This case is related to the bank loan default to the tune of Rs 48 crore obtained from ICICI Bank.
NDTV, however, terms the raids conducted by CBI as ‘witch-hunt’. The Media House pledged to fight against those agencies which are undermining democracy and curtailing freedom of speech. ‘We will fight for our country & overcome these forces,’ says NDTV in a statement.
Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu rubbished witch-hunt allegations saying CBI is acting independently & law would take its own course.
