Telugu news daily Andhra Jyothi Managing Director Vemuri Radhakrishna received a shock from the court. City Civil court expressed anger on Radhakrishna for not attending the court in connection with a defamation case pending for a long time.
YSR Congress MLA from Mangalagiri filed a case against the news paper MD in the court for publishing objectionable articles against opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after his meeting with President and Prime Minister last year.
The court summoned Radhakarshina, paper Editor K Srinivas and publisher Venkata Sheshagiri Rao and asked to appear before the court for several time but they skipped. Taking serious note of it, Judge asked the MD to present before the court on December5 without fail.
RadhaKrishna’s counsel informed the court his client was busy covering winter session of the ongoing Telangana and Andhra assemblies. The judge questioned the connection between the assembly session and skipping to attend the court.
