Complaint files against Rahul for election speeches


rahul-gandhi-speechNew Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday submitted a letter against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to Election Commission (EC) for “hate speech” given by him and stoking communal tension.

A delegation of BJP leaders met EC and handed the complaint letter on Rahul Gandhi’s statement during his campaigns in Rajasthan.

Have filed complaint against his (Rahul Gandhi) comments,sure EC will take appropriate action,” BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.

During a rally in Indore, Rahul Gandhi had claimed that some Muslim youths from riots-hit Muzaffarnagar area were contacted by the Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI.

The BJP had sought action against the Gandhi scion after he addressed rallies in Churu and Kherli in Rajasthan for “inciting riotous behaviour.”

The party also said that Congress is violating the Model Code of Conduct ahead of the Assembly polls.

The riots in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district and adjoining areas in September left 62 people dead and 43,000 homeless.
