Expert committee decides Seemandhra capital


seemandhra-capitalNew Delhi: GoM member and Union minister Jairam Ramesh said deliberations were on to identify places for locating new capital for Seemandhra region.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Ramesh said the expert committee would take a decision about the location of a new capital. He said three Central universities in Seemandhra and seven in the Telangana region would be set up. He also said Rs 15 crores  would be given to each university. Presently the Assembly was placed under suspended animation and we can’t guess for how many days it would go on, he said. Central universities would be set up in Kadapa, Guntur and West Godavari districts, he added.
