Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Intermediate public exams are going to begin today. Government of Andhra Pradesh announced that all the arrangements for the exams are completed. A press meet was held yesterday in which Intermediate board secretary and Intermediate education Commissioner spoke to the media.
9,29,029 students are appearing for Intermediate first year exams and 10,49,289 are appearing for second year exams. Exams will be held in 2,661 centers. Among these 230 centers are recognized as problematic. Ninety five are self centers. A high level committee will take strict actions to avoid mass copying. Flying and sitting squads are also arranged.
Intermediate exams will begin at 9.00 am every day. Students will be allowed to go into the examination hall from 8.30 am. Question papers will be distributed from 8.45 to 9.00 a.m. Students who come during the distribution of question papers will have to show a reason for coming late. Students will not be allowed into the examination hall after 9.00 am.
Chief Superintendents and departments officers only can use cell phones at the examination hall. Global positioning system is being to find if any student is using the cell phone or sending SMSes from the exam hall. It is also expected that GPS will prevent leakage of question papers.
On the other hand, there are demands that as the state is bifurcated, the answer sheets of Telangana region must be evaluated in this region only.
