Nirmala Sitharaman’s Slip Of Tongue

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a big blunder while responding on the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi on the Rafale Deal between India and France.

During the No Confidence Motion debate in Parliament, Congress President complained Rafale Deal, which was meant to acquire fighter jets, could be another huge scam pointing out the secrecy over the price. In reply, Nirmala Sitharaman commented Rafale Deal was made in 2008 when UPA was in power and her government couldn’t reveal the price of fights jets because of the secrecy clause in it.

Immediately, AK Antony who served as Defence Minister in UPA regime clarified there was no secrecy clause in the Rafale Deal signed by the Manmohan Singh Government. He accused Nirmala Sitharaman of speaking lies in Parliament.

Congress Party is now getting ready to move a privilege motion against PM Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for allegedly misleading the Lok Sabha. NDA Government is now answerable to the nation, else people could assume it could be another Bofors Scam which happened during Rahul Gandhi’s regime.
