Hyderabad: Atlast the UPA Government has made it’s decision on the future of the Andhra Pradesh state. UPA Chair person Sonia Gandhi has given green signal for the President’s rule in the state till the Elections are conducted and new government is formed in the state. The same is conveyed to Home MInister Sushil kumar Shinde and Digvijay singh.
Many speculations were going on about the Chief Minister’s position in the State as Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned and not interested to continue any more as CM. Many aspirants for the CM’s post have been lobbying at Delhi as the reports come.
There was no firm announcement made so far by the Center till Sonia Gandhi gave her nod for the President’s rule.
It came to know on inquiry that Chiranjeevi was offered the CM’s post by the high command of Congress party but he rejected it. He said clearly that he is not in the race for CM’s position.
Still as per the statement of Chiranjeevi, the Center has not yet reached to any decision whether to opt for choosing a CM to hold the fort for the period till elections are conducted or to go for President’s rule, if the first option is made who should be selected to take the CM’s responsibilities.
The Center also was toying with the idea of who should be chosen from Andhra or from Telangana region? Chiranjeevi’s following will no doubt add to the charisma of the party as it needs one. But Chiranjeevi has showed his disinterest in that proposal.
In a way fans of the Mega Star were looking forward to see their hero to occupy the seat of CM of the state to rule the state who once ruled the silver screen. It would be of great pleasure to them although the term will be too short. After NT Rama Rao, no super hero or matinee idol has led the state. As such Mega fans were praying in fact to make it possible to Chiranjeevi to get that chance. But Chiranjeevi firmly rejected that offer as sources reveal.
