Tenure of present chief secretary PK Mohanty extended by 3 Months

PK-mohantyHyderabad: The tenure of the chief secretary is extended by three months. Mohanty retires from service on Feb 28. However, his services will be continued for three months in the wake of division of the state.

As the chief secretary is acquainted with the state’s administration and moreover with the division process till now, his tenure is extended.

Mohanty went to Delhi to meet officials on Wednesday to discuss various issues relating to the state. The extension of his tenure also was discussed.

In case of President’s rule for united AP, Mohanty will be continued for 3 more months. In case the government decides to appoint new chief secretary,  IYR Krishna Rao is in the forefront for the post.
