Vishal is in  crucial point of his career and he is in need of a big break. After proving his acting capability in Avan Ivan the actor didn’t give any commercial hits. Now Vishal has joined hands with the most promising film maker Suseenthiran for Pandiya Nadu, does this combination created a magic? Read on to know….

Pandiya Nadu, as the name suggests it is a revenge story set in a Madurai backdrop. Though the story is not a new one to Tamil cinema Suseenthiran’s execution does the trick, the film has some good characterizations including Vishal as a normal middle class youngster who fears for violence and also having a stammer problem and Bharathiraja as a honest father who is trying his best to take revenge against the murderer (Sharath Lohitashwa)  of his elder son .  Sharath Lohitashwa is a powerful don in Madurai city and he is running a separate rule in Madurai city  .The rest of the story tells about the revenge execution of Vishal which is said to in an edge of the seat screenplay and pace.

After a long time in Tamil cinema Pandiya Nadu is one of the commercial cinema which makes the audience to engage and entertain throughout the movie. Right from  first scene Suseenthiran narrated in a genuine pace and ends it with a powerful climax which is pure mass.

The first half of the film travels with feel good romantic portions between Vishal and Lakshmi Menon, also the director has narrated how Sharath Lohitashwa becomes powerful in the entire Madurai city. The second half flies like a bullet and ends with a perfect climax which is powerful and touching.

Acting and charisma wise Pandiya Nadu is Vishal’s best , the actor has given a subtle performance and lived the Shivakumar character. The way he has carry himself in the film will easily reach the audience and in the climax fight he has proved that the ‘Sandakozhi’ Vishal is back, a good comeback for the actor by all means.

After Vishal Bharathiraja and Sharath Lohitashwa have given  powerful performances. Bharathiraja as a old father has conveys the emotions like a ace actor and it is one of his best roles after Aayutha Ezhuthu. Sharath Lohitashwa , the Kannada actor who acted as Nanditha’s father in Ethir Neechal has acted a powerful don and adds more strength to the film. The other casts including Soori,Lakshmi Menon have done a adequate job.

On the technical side Imman’s music is a pillar of strength for the movie. Both BGM and songs are gelled with the movie’s theme, especially the end BGM increases the pulse rate of the audience. Madhi’s cinematography has portrayed the raw Madurai and it is top notch in the climax portions.

Anal Arasu’s stunt choreography is again one of his best after Naan Mahan Alla and the way he executes each stunt scenes is powerful.

Overall Pandiya Nadu is the perfect diwali outing and it is an edge of the seat entertainer which engages you from the start till the end.

Verdict :
Edge of the seat revenge action thriller
