People nowadays seems to get hurt for everything. The latest film that hurt the sentiments of Hindu religious elements is ‘Krishna And His Leela’ directed by Ravikanth Perepu. This film released on Netflix directly and it was presented by Rana Daggubati.
Some people are hurt by the usage of names like Krishna and Radha in this film and they say that characters that have sexual relations cannot have god’s name. The hashtag of #BoycottNetflix is trending on Twitter and Rana Daggabati is facing the heat due to this.
A Twitter user wrote, “A Telugu movie named ‘Krishna & His Leela’ has been released on #Netflix on 25th June where a protagonist named ‘Krishna’ is shown having many affairs, where 1 of his girlfriend has been named as ‘Radha’. Many sexually explicit scenes have been shown b/w them. #BoycottNetflix.”
Another person stated, “Netflix done it again, Web Series called “Krishna & His Leela” showing Krishna have sexual affairs wth many women & one of them named as Radha. The audacity to openly target #Hinduism wth lies, deceit, propaganda. Why always insult our Gods? Because @NetflixIndia is Hinduphobic.” Another user asked Rana to take a look at the film before producing it and told him to take care of what it portrays and how it affects people.
Some people are even angry about Hindi Netflix release ‘Bulbbul’ as the subtitles and the language used by Netflix is very degrading and low.
