The teaser released on 20th August, made them appreciate the work of the team and Chiranjeevi for all the days they have spent to create a spectacle.
But the film faces a problem in Hindi markets with a strong opposition like War. Movie is produced by Yash Raj Films and they won’t let good screens go out of their hands easily.
With star power of Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and it being an action drama, not many multiplexes and single screens will give space to Sye Raa.
During Zero vs KGF Chapter 1, Red Chillies could bargain for better screens as Shah Rukh Khan is a bigger draw than Yash. But they lost major screens to Karan Johar’s Simbaa as Dharma Productions have deeper pockets and more films in production.
Still KGF survived in Hindi markets due to the content. We cannot expect any better situation for Sye Raa and it has an action flick to combat on first day while Zero was a love story.
Sye Raa could have managed to give big fight in mass circuts like Rajasthan, CP Berar, Bihar, East Punjab but all those are strong areas for a Hindi action flick.
In South, Sye Raa could be an unstoppable force at box office in Telugu states and Karnataka if the Word of Mouth is even decent. But in North, it has to combat a huge “War”!
Can the film do so? Let’s hope the content is so good that we see another major South film becoming a Pan-India success!
