Khushbu Demands Justice For Tuticorin Custodial Death

The death of Tuticorin father-son duo allegedly in police custody has caused a rage across Tamil Nadu. On June 19, P Jayaraj (59) and his son Fenix (31) were beaten to death by the police for violating lockdown rules. As per the police, the duo kept their mobile shop open during the lockdown. While Fenix died at the Kovilpatti General Hospital on June 22, his father died on June 23. After the news broke, people across Tamil Nadu condemned the police brutality and demanded justice for the family.

Now the issue has became very serious as many celebrities have stretched support for the family in demanding justice for the loss. Several celebrities including Khushbu, Jayam Ravi and director Karthik Subbaraj took to Twitter to demand justice.

Actress-politician Khushbu Sundar took to Twitter and wrote, “Will we and can we see law taking its course and punishing the guilty without any further delay in #Jeyaraj and #Fenix case? The culprits cannot and should not getaway. A family has lost their most loved ones. Justice delayed is justice denied. #JusticeForJeyarajAndFenix,” wrote Khushbu.
