Shraddha Srinath doesn’t minces her words and have the courage to speak what she feels truly about something. Who would have expected a barely newcomer to say she doesn’t wish to watch ‘U-Turn’ starring Samantha after being part of the Original (Kannada Version)? She did it and hasn’t even bothered to change her stand despite the backlash from the fans of Samantha.
After ‘Jersey’, Shraddha Srinath has done yet another meaningful film ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ which is the Tamil remake of Bollywood flick ‘PINK’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee. While Ajith plays Big B’s role, Shraddha gets into the shoes of Tapsee. This film is about the sexual harassment and how the Victim should fight back to obtain justice.
When her opinion was sought on the #MeToo Movement, Shraddha Srinath has righty said either One Movement or One Film can’t bring a revolution or change everything suddenly. ‘#MeToo Movement didn’t change much. Although there were many voices, Men who were accused of sexual harassment received clean chit in the end. There is necessity to talk about women safety and sexual harassment every day just alike Climate Change even if women are targeted and make it a mass movement,’ she firmly believes.
