Chiranjeevi was in New Delhi last week for meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to appeal him to watch ‘Sye Raa’ which is based on the spirited fight against the Britishers by First Generation Freedom Fighter. He, however, was unable to attain the appointment of PM during that trip.
Within few days after this development, Upasana found fault with PMO for ignoring the South Indian Film Fraternity and paving red carpet for Bollywood Celebs to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. And now, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan received an invitation from the Prime Minister with a confirmed appointment on October 24th. Is that Modi’s damage control measure after Upsi’s outburst?
BJP Sources say, PM Modi was busy campaigning for Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Polls. That’s why PMO denied appointment to Megastar last week. As the polling has come to an end, NaMo offered his appointment to the ‘Sye Raa’ Makers.
Analysts, however, pointed out Modi had an interactive session with Bollywood Film Fraternity prior to the polling of the Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Polls. It appears like PM was just trying to convey the message that he was offering due importance to Southern Film Industry by extending invitation to Megas as the criticism kept increasing.
