Rahul Ramakrishna reveals, I was raped during childhood

Rahul Ramakrishna is well known face for Telugu audiences as he has been the part of several successful movies such as Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam. He was recently seen in Allu Arju and Rashmika Mandanna starrer romantic and family drama ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. Recently Rahul Ramakrishna revealed that he was s*xually molested as a child. On Monday Rahul Ramakrishna took to his Twitter and said, “I was raped during childhood. I don’t know what else to say about my grief, except for this, because this is what I seek to know about myself. Everything hurts.”

His followers have empathized with his pain. Comedian Priyadarshi wrote, “I will never be able to understand the trauma you (Rahul Ramakrishna) went through even if I try now. I can’t do anything too. But want to just say, stay strong. You have come out of every shit and handled it best to your capacity. You are a fighter. Love you brother!” Another netizen named Usha tweeted out, ” Every child has childhood trauma and it is a constant struggle to overcome the pain. You are a brave man!! More power to you!! “

A user named Geetha wrote, ” Whenever we see you on screen, you amaze us with your amazing comic timing and fluent dialogues. But you are a person with strong emotions and u feel for the society. Sorry for what u went through, but glad you gave courage to few people to share their horrors. Hope u r relieved.”

Rahul Ramakrishna made his debut with the short film, Sainma. He became popular with his role in the Tollywood blockbuster, Arjun Reddy, in which he worked with Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. The success of Arjun Reddy and the widespread recognition furthered his career with instrumental characters in many Telugu films of 2018 such as Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer Bharat Ane Nenu.
