TFI Finding Ways To Stop The Reign Of Prime And Netflix!

The introduction of digital streaming sites like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix helped the film makers a lot as they provided space for new talents to showcase their work and also exposed movie lovers to different kinds of cinema. But slowly they started to bag the rights of every film and started to stream them within 50 days of its release.

While the audience are finding it comfortable to watch every new release in their home without having to pay more in theaters, the people who brought the theatrical and satellites rights are completely getting robbed off their revenue. As the film comes on digital platform in a short time after release, people are not showing interest in walking into theaters. In the same way, the TRP’s of television channels are going down as the films are already on internet.

To put an end to this, the producers are coming up with new strategies. The makers of Trivikram’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ released a poster of their film saying that, “You wont see this on Amazon Prime Video or Netflix”. Even Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ team announced that their film wont be available on digital platforms till it is premiered on television. This gives ample time for both the theater owners as well as television channels to get their profits.
