The Sankranti competition is getting complicated with each passing day. There was an agreement earlier that ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ will be hitting the screens on 11th January and ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ will be released on 12th. But ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ team preponed their film and deciding to come on 10th January became a hot topic in the industry.
There is a lot of competition for the release dates between these two films. Initially, they both announced that they would arrive on 12th January but with the intervention of industry bigwigs, Mahesh & team moved their film to 11th. Now Bunny breaking this deal is said to have irked Mahesh and the latter is forcing his team to release his film on 10th January itself. But this will have a lot of effect on ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’.
Mahesh’s film has been made on a grand scale and Anil Sunkara himself revealed that the budget went beyond their expectations. Mahesh’s film costed more than Bunny’s and releasing it on the same day will stop the film from having record opening day collections. The result will depend on talk and reviews as the first day collections may not be huge due to the competition.
As arrangements with the theatres in both the Telugu states and overseas have already been done. This sudden change in dates is creating a big havoc. So, the question is will Mahesh act in a matured manner and avoid further problems? Or Will he end up reacting to Bunny’s move and create more damage?
