While the tech enthusiasts in India are awaiting the release of Nokia Lumia 920, flagship smartphone based on Windows Phone 8, The Finnish phone manufacturer has unveiled seems to have quietly unveiled another dual SIM feature phone dubbed as Nokia 114 in the market and it has been listed in the Nokia India website recently. Lately, Nokia also unleashed its Asha 205 and Asha 206 – two new dual SIM handsets for its Indian fans priced at affordable range.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the key specs of Nokia 114 below.

Dimensions & Weight: Nokia 114 carries a dimension of 110 x 46 x 14.8 mm and weighs around 80 grams.

Display: Being a feature phone, the handset houses a 1.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels.

Storage: The handset comes equipped with 16MB internal storage, 64MB mass memory and a micro SD card supporting up to 32GB additional storage.

Camera: When it comes to camera, the handset has a 0.3MP VGA rear camera.

Interface: Nokia 114 is based on Nokia’s Series 40 platform.

Connectivity: Being an Internet-centric handset, Nokia 114 comes packed with connectivity features including Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS and EDGE.

Battery: The handset is loaded with an 1,020 mAh BL-5C battery offering up to 10.5 hours talktime and 637 hours standby.

Additional Features

As Nokia 114 is designed to let consumers to access the web easily to stay connected and hence, it is loaded with instant messaging services including Twitter, Facebook chat, Windows Live Messenger and Nokia Chat. Moreover, it comes with Easy Swap feature, which lets consumers to switch between the SIM cards without much difficulty. Further, the handset is preloaded with Nokia Xpress Browser that enables for 90% faster browsing experience.

Price & Availability

As of now, there is no information on the price and availability of the dual SIM Nokia 114, however, analysts predict that it could be launched in near future with a price tag of Rs 2,500 approximately.

How is Nokia 114 better than Nokia 109?

Early last month, the company also launched a feature phone – Nokia 109 claiming it to be the cheapest Internet-centric handset launched ever. Nokia 109 houses a 1.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, 16MB internal storage, micro SD card supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Nokia’s Series 40 platform, GPRS/EDGE 2G, 800 mAh Li-ion battery offering up to 7.5 hours talktime and 790 hours standby.

Nokia 109 will be available in a couple of color variants – Black and Cyan by the end of this year in market including China, Asia Pacific and Europe. When it comes to pricing, the handset will be priced at $42 (approx. Rs 2,250).

With dual SIM support, VGA camera and improved battery backup, Nokia 114 could be a better buy as it is also preloaded with similar software features and it is expected by analysts to have a budget price tag.
