The famous Idol of Lord Ganesh is getting ready for 2013 Vinayaka Chavithi festival, which is on September 9th.Most of them knows that Khairatabad Ganesh Idol is the special and famous in Hyderabad.The Ganesh Utsav Samiti is conducting its 59th Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in this year, so on the occasion of 59 years the Ganesh Idol height also made 59 feet for the year 2013 in Khairatabad.The Ganesh Idol will be ready by September 3rd and it open for public viewing from September 5 onwards, and darshans will begin on September 9.In 2012 Kharitabad Ganesh Idol height was 56 feets but the actual khairtabad ganesh height was 50 feet and about 6 feet we can see the statues of various goddesses like ,Brahma, Saraswati, shiva and lakshmi.

Almost more than 125 worked for 50 days to construct the Khairatabad Ganesh Idol and it costs Rs 40 lakh.About 10 CCTV cameras and additional door frame metal detectors will be installed during the 11-day festivities.This year, the committee has created a Facebook account of the idol.

The theme of Khairatabad Ganesh Idol for the year 2013 is “Gonaga Chathurmukha Vinayakudu”. Devotees will see two cows on both sides of lord Ganesh with five snakes and four faces of the god. The right side of the Khairatabad Ganesh, a 20- feet Sri Rama Pattabhishekam idol is being installed and towards the left, Bhuvaneshwari Matha along with Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Rudrudu, Lakshmi and Saraswati idol are being stationed.

A sweets makers Suruchi Foods from Kakinada is making arrangements to prepare 4000 kilos ‘Maha laddu’ for the Khairatabad Mammoth Ganesha idol.
