Case Filed on Karnataka CM For Violating COVID Guidelines

Leaving everyone in a deep shock, a complaint has been registered against Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa for not following the advisories issued not to attend any large gatherings as a precautionary action to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Noted RTI activist T Narasimha Murthy has written a letter to Karnataka Governor to seek action on the CM and Ministers, MPs and MLAs who have attended a wedding in Karnataka.

He has kept the leaders responsible for “their grave negligence, violation of government’s order/directions and mockery of the state legislature and its orders.”

Going into detail, CM Yediyurappa and many legislators of the state have attended the wedding ceremony of the MLC Mahantesh Kavatahimath’s daughter that happened in Belgavi on the 15th of March.

In his complaint, the RTI activist has urged the state government to take “strict necessary legal actions against all those who are part of such gathering and may kindly take actions to protect the mass from coronavirus”.

Earlier Advocate Sudheer Kumar Ojha has filed a case on China President Xi Jinping at the Muzaffarpur court on the charges of being the indirect reason for the spread of the COVID-19.
