Pfizer Vaccine Gets Approval From The UK To Vaccine Public

American multinational pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer Inc is on cloud nine with the development of vaccinating the public in the European country United Kingdom(UK) against the Coronavirus pandemic. Taking the recommendations of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the United Kingdom government gave its nod to the vaccine candidate developed by Pfizer-BioNTech to vaccinate the public. Despite the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine candidate given to volunteers across the globe, Britain becomes the first nation globally to give its nod to the usage of the vaccine candidate officially.

The development in the United Kingdom gave hope of curing the ongoing pandemic, which has spread to more than 200 countries across the globe since its inception early in this year. The government said the vaccination process will start in the nation from next week. Health officials, care staff, home residents, and other frontline workers will be given priority in vaccination.

It has to be noted that the authorization of Pfizer’s vaccine came days after the pharmaceutical corporation has applied for the emergency use authorization. While applying for emergency use, the company has also attached the results of the vaccine trials. Pfizer and fellow US-based biotech firm Moderna claimed that their vaccine candidates are more than 90 effective against the Coronavirus. However, Moderna didn’t apply for the authorization.
