Balakrishna Legend Movie Review:
Legend is a revenge story. Jithendra (Jagapathi Babu) kills a village head man, Suman and his wife, Suhasini in a village conflict. Suman’s mother sends Jr.Legend to abroad to stay away from violence and bloodshed and he there grows in to Balakrishna. Who is second Balayya? How Jr. Legend comes back to India? How he takes his revenge forms the rest of the story.
Stars performance in legend:
Nandamuri Balakrishna is a revelation in the movie. The senior actor had delivered a top notch performance with excellent mannerisms, body language and dialogue delivery. He put in superb effort in dances and they are good for a 53 year old. He also excelled in emotional scenes particularly in the scenes with Sitara. He is an asset of the movie.
Jagapathi Babu who began his second innings with this film is sensational. His mannerisms and expressions suited perfectly to the role of a villain. A perfect start to extend his career.
Sonal Chauhan has very little screen presence and Radhika Apte did well in the little role. Brahmi comes in as Manikyam and managed some laughs. Rest of them are okay.
Legend Technical Performances:
Once again Boyapati Srinu comes up with a wafer thin story but the racy screenplay and treatment did the trick once again. The movie kicks off round the interval and takes the mass audience to roller coaster ride with some well conceived scenes and action sequences. However the climax of the movie falls on predictable lines. The only complain seems to be with the over violence in the film. But it is a writing on the wall for a Boyapati and Balayya combination.
Devi Sri Prasad comes up with an average album but top notch rerecording. His back ground music is the heart of the film in many scenes. M.Ratnam’s dialogues are very effective and up to the standards of Balayya. Fans will enjoy the political dialogues a lot. Ram Prasad’s camera work is good and Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao could have been better in trimming lengthy comedy episodes of Brahmi and some parts in the second half and climax.
Plus Points :
Balakrishna is simply superb in the role of Jai Dev. He has a royal look and his mannerisms are great to watch. He has also danced energetically in the movie.
Jagapathi Babu is excellent as Jeethendra and he has great future as a leading villain. His natural talent makes him a force to recon with in the negative role.
Sonal Chauhan oozes glamour and she looks gorgeous. Radhika Apte looks homely and she has a good role in the movie.
The second half of the film is a big plus point, with emotionally charged scenes and powerful action episodes. The fight sequence near train track is excellent.
Interval episode and twist have good impact value.
Minus Points :
Brahmanandam’s comedy element is silly and he irritates as Manikyam.
The first half is slightly slow with too many songs. The item song ‘Lasku Tapa’ is not effective.
Climax could have been more convincing.
Legend Movie Final Say:
Legend is that kind of movie what fans and masses expect from the combination of Boyapati and Balayya. Despite the heavy expectations of Simha, Boyapati managed to live up to them. Watch it for a Mass Treat!

Balakrishna plays the title role. The first look posters of Legend movie shows the stunning lion look of Balakrishna. The first look has been quite impressive and the expectations have become high. Balayya and Jagapathi Babu looks like warriors in this movie. And coming to the trailer part it was amazing and filled with Balayya trade mark dialogues.
