Senior director Gunasekhar who gave some memorable films like ‘Choodalani Undi’ and ‘Okkadu’, is now trying hard to find success. His last film was ‘Rudramadevi’ with Anushka which released in 2015. He faced a lot of financial hurdles for this film and he took a brief gap in order to prepare his next script.
Many thought that he would be making ‘Hiranyakashapa’ with Rana Daggubati but Gunasekhar surprised everyone with his latest announcement. He released the motion poster of his upcoming film titled ‘Shakuntalalm’. He will be writing and directing this film while it is being produced under his own ‘Gunaa Teamworks’ banner. Mani Sharma will be composing the music for this film.
This is a love story taken from the Aadiparva of epic tale Mahabharatam. With a tagline of ‘The love that was forgotten. An unforgettable tale of love that remains’, Gunasekhar is trying to impress the audience once again with a mythology film. The details about the actors are yet to be revealed.
