‘Rx 100’ సినిమాతో యూత్ లో తనకంటూ సెపరేట్ ఇమేజ్ క్రియేట్ చేసుకున్న కార్తికేయ గుమ్మకొండ నటిస్తున్న లేటెస్ట్ మూవీ ”చావు కబురు చల్లగా”. గీతా ఆర్ట్స్ 2 బ్యానర్ లో అల్లు అరవింద్ సమర్పణలో బన్నీ వాస్ ఈ సినిమాను నిర్మిస్తున్నాడు. ఈ చిత్రం ద్వారా పెగళ్ళపాటి కౌశిక్ అనే కొత్త దర్శకుడు టాలీవుడ్ కు పరిచయం అవుతున్నాడు. లక్కీ బ్యూటీ లావణ్య త్రిపాఠి హీరోయిన్ గా నటిస్తోంది. ఈ చిత్రంలో కార్తికేయ ‘బస్తీ బాలరాజు’ పాత్రలో నటిస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే ఈ సినిమాకి సంబంధించిన ఫస్ట్ లుక్ విడుదలై విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకుంది. ఈ క్రమంలో నేడు (సెప్టెంబర్ 21) కథానాయకుడు కార్తికేయ పుట్టినరోజు కానుకగా ‘చావు కబురు చల్లగా’ టీజర్ రిలీజ్ చేసింది చిత్ర యూనిట్.
ఈ టీజర్ లో ఫోన్ కాల్ తో నిద్ర లేచిన హీరోకి అవతలి వైపు నుంచి ‘మా బంధువొకరు చనిపోయారు.. స్మశానానికి తీసుకెళ్లాలి.. మేం దేవుడి బిడ్డలం. మరి మీరు మా వాళ్ళను తీసుకెళ్తారా?’ అని అడుగగా.. ‘డబ్బులిత్తే ఎవరి బిడ్డలనన్నా తీసుకెళ్లామ్.. అడ్రెస్ చెప్పండి’ అని కార్తికేయ సమాధానం చెప్తాడు. దీనిని బట్టి ఈ మూవీలో హీరో వ్యాన్ లో స్మశానానికి శవాలను తీసుకెళ్లే పాత్రలో కనిపిస్తాడని తెలుస్తోంది. ‘నేను రోజూ సావులకు బోతా.. దీనమ్మ అందరి ఏడుపులు చూసి చూసి ఏడుపంటేనే సిరాకు దొబ్బింది.. కానీ ఆ పిల్ల ఏడుత్తుంటే మాత్రం.. చేతికున్న ఎంట్రుకలు ఇట్టా లెగిసి నిలుచున్నాయిరా’ అని కార్తికేయ చెప్పే డైలాగ్ సినిమాపై ఆసక్తిని కలిగిస్తోంది. ఇక సీనియర్ నటి ఆమని ‘ఎదవ నాయాలా.. శవాన్ని తోలుకుపోరా అంటే.. మొగుడు పోయిన దాన్ని కెలికొచ్చాడు’ అంటూ హీరోను తిడుతోంది. దీనికి ‘ఆడెట్టా పోయాడు కదే.. ఇప్పుడది ఖాళీనే’ అంటూ కార్తికేయ చెప్పడం నవ్వు తెప్పిస్తోంది. ఈ సినిమాలో కార్తికేయ ఊర మాస్ లుక్.. బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్.. మాట్లాడే తీరు ఆకట్టుకుంటున్నాయి. ఈ సినిమాతో నటన పరంగా కార్తికేయ మరో మెట్టు ఎక్కేలా కనిపిస్తున్నాడు.
కాగా ‘చావు కబురు చల్లగా’ లో ఆమని – శ్రీకాంత్ అయ్యంగర్ – మహేష్ – భద్రం తదితరులు ఇతర ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో కనిపించనున్నారు. ఈ చిత్రానికి జేక్స్ బిజోయ్ సంగీతం అందించగా సునీల్ రెడ్డి కెమెరామెన్ గా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారు. ఇటీవలే ఈ సినిమాకి సంబంధించిన కీలక సన్నివేశాల చిత్రీకరణ పూర్తయింది. త్వరలోనే మరో షెడ్యూల్ షూటింగ్ ప్రారంభించి శరవేగంగా చిత్రీకరణ పూర్తి చేసే దిశగా ప్లాన్ చేస్తున్నట్లుగా మేకర్స్ తెలిపారు.
యువ హీరో కార్తికేయ ‘ప్రేమతో మీ కార్తీక్’ అనే సినిమాతో టాలీవుడ్ లో హీరోగా అడుగుపెట్టాడు. ‘Rx 100’ సినిమాతో కమర్షియల్ సక్సెస్ అందుకున్నాడు. అయితే ఆ తర్వాత వచ్చిన ‘గుణ 369’ ‘హిప్పీ’ ’90 ML’ చిత్రాలు బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద పెద్దగా ప్రభావం చూపలేకపోయాయి. అయితే నాని హీరోగా నటించిన ‘గ్యాంగ్ లీడర్’ సినిమాలో నెగెటివ్ రోల్ లో కనబడి మంచి పేరు తెచ్చుకున్నాడు. ప్రస్తుతం గీతాఆర్ట్స్ 2 బ్యానర్ లో ‘చావు కబురు చల్లగా’ అనే సినిమాలో నటిస్తున్నాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో రేపు (సెప్టెంబర్ 21) తన బర్త్ డే సందర్భంగా న్యూ ప్రాజెక్ట్ అనౌన్స్ చేసాడు కార్తికేయ గుమ్మకొండ.
కాగా కార్తికేయ కెరీర్ లో 7వ చిత్రంగా రానున్న ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కి కొత్త దర్శకుడు శ్రీ సరిపల్లి దర్శకత్వం వహించనున్నారు. శ్రీ చిత్ర మూవీ మేకర్స్ బ్యానర్ లో 88 రామారెడ్డి ఈ మూవీని నిర్మించనున్నారు. డిఫరెంట్ కాన్సెప్ట్ తెరకెక్కనున్న ఈ మూవీలో కార్తికేయ NIA ఆఫీసర్ గా కనిపిస్తారని తెలుస్తోంది. పలు తమిళ్ చిత్రాల్లో నటించిన యంగ్ బ్యూటీ తాన్య రవిచంద్రన్ ఈ సినిమాలో హీరోయిన్ గా నటించనుంది. సాయి కుమార్ – తనికెళ్ళ భరణి – సుధాకర్ కోమాకుల – పశుపతి కీలక పాత్రల్లో నటించనున్నారు. ఈ చిత్రానికి ప్రశాంత్.ఆర్.విహారి సంగీతం అందిస్తుండగా పి.సి.మౌళి సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్ గా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నాడు.
With a rugged look and intense acting, Karthikeya impressed many in ‘RX100’ and gained a lot of fame. He got a lot of offers after this film and did a couple of films like ‘Hippie’, ’90ML’, ‘Gang Leader’ and others but all of them failed badly at the box-office.
At this juncture of time, he landed in ‘Geetha Arts’ compound. ‘GA2 Pictures’ signed him up for a film titled ‘Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’. The first look poster got a decent response and being a ‘Geetha Arts’ film, Karthikeya was sure of its success. But Corona pandemic completely shattered his plans and Karthikeya is back to square one again.
Allu Aravind & Co are making moves to release his film on ‘Aha’ as people may not flood into theatres during these times. They are also hoping to use Karthikeya in web content they are making for ‘Aha’. But Karthikeya is reportedly not happy with it as it may dampen his chances of becoming an established hero in Tollywood.
News is that Karthikeya is not a position to produce his own film as all the profits he got in ‘RX100′ where evaporated with ’90ML’. Let us wait and see what Karthikeya does in the coming days.

అర్జున్ జంధ్యాల దర్శకత్వంలో కార్తికేయ హీరోగా, మ‌ల‌యాళ భామ అనఘ హీరోయిన్ గా తెరకెక్కిన చిత్రం ‘గుణ 369’. శ్రీమ‌తి ప్రవీణ కడియాల సమర్పణలో స్ప్రింట్‌ ఫిలిమ్స్‌, జ్ఞాపిక ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్స్, ఎస్‌జీ మూవీ మేకర్స్ సంస్థలు ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మించాయి. కాగా ఈ చిత్రం ఈ రోజే ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది. మరి ప్రేక్షకులను ఈ సినిమా ఎంతవరకు మెప్పించిందో సమీక్షలోకి వెళ్లి తెలుసుకుందాం.
కథ :
గుణ (కార్తికేయ) గొడవ పడితే చివరకి ఆ గొడవే మిగులుతుందని నమ్మి, అసలు గొడవలకే దూరంగా ఉండే ఓ సాఫ్ట్ కుర్రాడు. ఆయితే గుణ తొలి చూపులోనే గీత (ఆనఘ)తో ప్రేమలో పడతాడు. ఆమె వెంటపడుతూ గీతను కూడా తన ప్రేమలో పడేస్తాడు. ఇక అంతా హ్యాపీ అనుకుంటున్న సమయంలో గుణ జీవితంలో జరిగిన కొన్ని నాటకీయ సంఘటనల కారణంగా.. గుణ హింసామార్గాన్ని ఎలా ఎంచుకున్నాడు ? దానికి దారి తీసిన కారణాలు ఏమిటి ? తన పక్కనున్నవాళ్లు చేసిన తప్పుల వల్ల అతని జీవితానికి ఎలాంటి నష్టం కలిగింది ?

ప్లస్ పాయింట్స్ :
దర్శకుడు అర్జున్ జంధ్యాల మొదటి అర్ధభాగాన్ని లవ్ సీన్స్ తో సరదాగా నడిపిన, సెకండాఫ్ ను భావోద్వేగ సన్నివేశాలతో యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్స్ తో రివేంజ్ డ్రామాగా సినిమాని మలిచారు. మొత్తానికి సినిమాలోని కొన్ని లవ్ అండ్ యాక్షన్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ బాగానే ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. మెయిన్ గా సాఫ్ట్ గా ఉండే ఓ కుర్రాడు, తన జీవితంలో తప్పనిసరిగా హింసామార్గాన్ని ఎంచుకున్నే సన్నివేశం ఎమోషనల్ గా కనెక్ట్ అవుతుంది.
ఇక ఒంగోలు ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన ఓ మిడిల్ క్లాస్ కుర్రాడి పాత్రలో నటించిన కార్తికేయ, ఆ పాత్రకు తగ్గట్లు తన లుక్ ను తన బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ ను మార్చుకోవడం.. అలాగే కొన్ని కీలకమైన సన్నివేశాల్లో ముఖ్యంగా క్లైమాక్స్ లో సెటిల్డ్ పెర్ఫార్మెన్స్ తో, చాలా సహజంగా నటిస్తూ సినిమాకి హైలెట్ గా నిలచారు. తన తండ్రి సెల్ ఫోన్ స్టోర్ లో పనిచేసే అమ్మాయిగా నటించిన అనఘ తన గ్లామర్ తో పాటు, తన పెర్ఫార్మన్స్ తో.. అచ్చం ఓ సగటు తెలుగు అమ్మాయిగా చాలా బాగా నటించింది. లవ్ సీన్స్ తో పాటు సాంగ్స్ లో కూడా అనఘ నటన, ఆమె పలికించిన హావభావాలు చాల బాగున్నాయి.
హీరోకి తండ్రి పాత్రలో నటించిన నరేష్ ఎప్పటిలాగే తన నటనతో ఆకట్టుకున్నారు. యువ నటుడు మహేష్ కూడా తన పాత్రకు తగ్గట్లు చాలా బాగా నటించారు. ముఖ్యంగా క్లైమాక్స్ సీక్వెన్స్ లో మహేష్ నటన ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఇక మిగిలిన నటీనటులు కూడా తమ పాత్ర పరిధి మేరకు బాగానే చేశారు.
మైనస్ పాయింట్స్ :
దర్శకుడు అర్జున్ జంధ్యాల వాస్తవ కథను ఆధారం చేసుకొని.. రెగ్యులర్‌ కమర్షియల్ స్టోరీలా కాకుండా, కాస్త భిన్నమైన ముగింపుతో రాసుకున్న ఈ కథ మెసేజ్ పరంగా.. స్టోరీ లైన్ పరంగా బాగానే ఉన్నా.. ఆ లైన్ ను పూర్తి స్థాయిలో ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా దర్శకుడు కథాకథనాన్ని మాత్రం రాసుకోలేదు. హీరోకి తన జీవితంలో ఎదురయ్యే కొన్ని ఘర్షణ తాలూకు సన్నివేశాలు వాటికి దారి తీసిన సంఘటనలు కూడా పూర్తిగా ఆకట్టుకున్నే విధంగా ఉండవు.
దీనికి తోడు సినిమాలోని కీలక సన్నివేశాలు కూడా మరీ సినిమాటిక్ గా అనిపిస్తాయి. ముఖ్యంగా క్లైమాక్స్ లో మహేష్ పాత్ర ట్విస్ట్ పరంగా వర్కౌట్ అయినా, మరీ సినిమాటిక్ గా తేలిపోయినట్లు ఉంది. పైగా ఆ పాత్ర వల్ల హీరోకి జరిగిన నష్టం కూడా ఏదో ఫోర్స్ గా కావాలని పెట్టినట్లు ఉంది గాని, బలంగా నమ్మే విధంగా ఉండదు.
మొదటి భాగంలో హీరో హీరోయిన్ల మధ్య లవ్ ట్రాక్ సరదాగా సాగినప్పటికీ.. సెకెండాఫ్ లో ఆ లవ్ ట్రాక్ ఆధారంగా ఎమోషనల్ అండ్ రివేంజ్ డ్రామాను బాగానే ఎలివేట్ చేసినప్పటికీ అది బలంగా అనిపించదు. పైగా సెకెండాఫ్ లో కొన్ని కీలక సన్నివేశాలు మరియు యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాలను సాగతీసారు.
సాంకేతిక విభాగం :
దర్శకుడు అర్జున్ జంధ్యాల క్లైమాక్స్ ను మరియు కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలను ఎమోషనల్ గా బాగా తెరకెక్కించినప్పటికీ.. తీసుకున్న స్టోరీ లైన్ కి పూర్తి స్థాయిలో ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా ఆయన కథా కథనాలని రాసుకోలేకపోయారు. చైతన్ భరద్వాజ్ అందించిన బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ బాగుంది. ఆయన అందించిన పాటల్లో రెండు బాగున్నాయి.
రాంరెడ్డి సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. సినిమాలోని చాలా సన్నివేశాలను ఆయన ఎంతో రియలిస్టిక్ విజువల్స్ ను చాలా బ్యూటిఫుల్ గా చిత్రీకరించారు. తమ్మిరాజు ఎడిటింగ్ బాగుంది. కానీ అక్కడక్కడా ఉన్న కొన్ని సాగతీత సీన్స్ ను తగ్గించాల్సింది. నిర్మాతలు అనిల్ కడియాల, తిరుమల్ రెడ్డి, ప్రవీణ కడియాల ఎక్కడా కాంప్రమైజ్ కాకుండా ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మించారు. వాళ్ళ నిర్మాణ విలువులు చాలా బాగున్నాయి.
తీర్పు :
అర్జున్ జంధ్యాల దర్శకత్వంలో కార్తికేయ – అనఘ జంటగా వచ్చిన ఈ చిత్రంలో మెసేజ్ పరంగా.. స్టోరీ లైన్ పరంగా అలాగే లవ్ అండ్ ఎమోషనల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ పరంగా మరియు కొన్ని మెప్పించే అంశాలు ఉన్నప్పటికీ, ముఖ్యమైన కథనం నెమ్మదిగా సాగడం, హీరోకి తన జీవితంలో ఎదురయ్యే కొన్ని ఘర్షణ తాలూకు సన్నివేశాలు, వాటికి దారి తీసిన సంఘటనలు కూడా పూర్తిగా ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా లేకపోవడం, దీనికి తోడు ట్రీట్మెంట్ కూడా ఆసక్తికరంగా సాగకపోవడం వంటి అంశాలు సినిమాకు బలహీనతలుగా నిలుస్తాయి. అయితే, కార్తికేయ ఎమోషనల్ అండ్ సెటిల్డ్ పెర్ఫార్మెన్స్, కొన్ని ప్రేమ సన్నివేశాలు మరియు హీరోకిి అతని తండ్రికి మధ్య వచ్చే కొన్ని ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్, అదేవిధంగా ఆసక్తికరంగా సాగే క్లైమాక్స్ ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. ఓవరాల్ గా ఈ చిత్రం బి.సి సెంటర్ ప్రేక్షకులకు కొంతమేరకు కనెక్ట్ అవుతుంది.

Not affected with the result of his last film, Hippi, young hero Kartikeya has come up with yet another film, titled, Guna 369. Touted as a romantic action entertainer, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how the film turns out to be.
Story:
Guna(Kartikeya), who leads a happy life with family and girlfriend Geetha(Anagha) gets cornered in a murder case. How will Guna deal with the unexpected incidents which are happening in his life? What kind of sacrifices he had to make to come out of the case? To know this, you have to watch the film in the theaters near you.
Plus Points:
As promoted, the film is based on true incidents and has twists which are unveiled at regular intervals. The main plotline which opens fifteen minutes before the intermission is totally unexpected and raises curiosity for the latter half.
Hero Kartikeya is good in his boy-next-door role which transforms eventually into a mass character in the latter half. Like his previous films, Karthikeya showcased his fine toned six-pack abs and performance-wise too, he was quite good especially in the second half of the film also. Heroine Anagha has an attractive screen presence and did her purposeful role decently. A few love scenes between the lead pair during the first half have come out well.
Jabardasth fame Mahesh gets a meaty role and delivered a good performance. Senior actor Naresh and Hema as the hero’s parents are apt in their roles.
Minus Points:
The first half of the film offers nothing new and has predictable narration until the pre-interval. After an intriguing interval block, though all the twits are unveiled in a decent manner, the film’s pace drops and lacks energy in the scenes in the second half.
A song which comes post-interval is a complete misplacement and diverts the mood of the audience. There was a lot of scopes to handle the second half in an even better way but the director neglected it and chose to narrate the film in a regular formulaic template.
Technical Aspects:
Director Arjun Jandyala has chosen a content-oriented strong storyline. But his execution part lacks intensity in a few areas. If the narration was a bit more gripping, the output could have been even better. Music by Chaitan Bharadwaj is below par as none of the songs impress the audience. But his background score during the climax portion is good and brings depth to the film. Production values for this limited budget film are impressive.
Editing work by Thammiraju is okay and he kept the runtime in limits. Cinematography by Raam Reddy is good as he tried to bring the rustic and raw texture to the film. A few mass dialogues are written in an effective manner.
Verdict:
On the whole, Guna 369 is a message-oriented mass film which may find takers in single screens. The twists unveiled in the second half are totally unexpected and are executed decently. But on the flip side, lack of gripping narration in the later part make the film just an okay watch for the weekend. Watch it if you have nothing else to do.

కథ :
దేవ్ (కార్తికేయ) స్నేహతో (జజ్బా సింగ్) ఆల్ రెడీ లవ్ లో ఉంటాడు. అయితే స్నేహ ఫ్రెండ్ ఆముక్తమాల్యద (దిగంగన సూర్యవంశి)ను చూసిన వెంటనే లవ్ లో పడిపోతాడు. ఇక ఆమెను ప్రేమలో పడేయడానికి రకరకాల ప్రయత్నాలు మొదలుపెడతాడు. ఆ తరువాత జరిగే కొన్ని నాటకీయ పరిణామాల అనంతరం ఆముక్తమాల్యద దేవ్ ప్రేమను అంగీకరిస్తోంది. అయితే తన చెప్పిన ప్రతి పనిని చెయ్యాలని షరతు పెడుతుంది. ఆ తరువాత వారిద్దరి మధ్య జరిగిన కొన్ని సంఘటనల తరువాత ఇద్దరి మధ్య కొన్ని మనస్పర్థలు వస్తాయి. వాటి మూలంగా వారి జీవితంలో చోటు చేసుకున్న అంశాలు ఏమిటి ? ఈ క్రమంలో వారి మధ్యన ఆనంద్ ( జేడీ చక్రవర్తి) ఎలాంటి పాత్రను పోషించాడు ? ఇంతకీ వాళ్లిద్దరూ మళ్లీ కలిసారా ? లేదా ? లాంటి విషయాలు తెలియాలంటే వెండితెర పై ఈ చిత్రం చూడాల్సిందే.

దర్శకుడు చెప్పాలనుకున్న థీమ్ తో పాటు సినిమాలో యూత్ కి నచ్చే అంశాలు ఉండటం సినిమాకి బాగా ప్లస్ అయింది. ఇక హీరోగా నటించిన కార్తికేయ తన పాత్రకు తగ్గట్లు లుక్స్ అండ్ నటన పరంగా కూడా ఆకట్టుకుంటాడు. పైగా తన సిక్స్ ప్యాక్ తో తన డాన్స్ మూమెంట్స్ తో సినిమాకే హైలెట్ గా నిలిచాడు. ముఖ్యంగా బాక్సింగ్ సీన్ లో, ప్రీ క్లైమాక్స్ లో హీరోయిన్ తో గొడవ పడే సీన్ లో, ఆ తరువాత ఇద్దరూ ఒకటయ్యే సీన్ లో కార్తికేయ ఎంతో అనుభవం ఉన్న నటుడిలా చాలా బాగా నటించాడు. హీరోయిన్ గా నటించిన దిగంగన సూర్యవంశి బాగా నటించడంతో పాటు అందంగా కనిపిస్తూ ఆకట్టుకుంది.
చాలా గ్యాప్ తర్వాత నటించిన జేడీ చక్రవర్తి కూడా ఆనంద్ పాత్రలో ఒదిగిపోయారు. జేడీ చక్రవర్తి చేత చెప్పించిన డైలాగ్స్ కూడా యూత్ ను బాగా అలరిస్తాయి. వెన్నెల కిషోర్ ఎప్పటిలాగే తనకు మాత్రమే సాధ్యమైన కామెడీ ఎక్స్ ప్రెషన్స్ తో, తన శైలి మాడ్యులేషన్ తో సినిమాలో కనిపించనంత సేపూ నవ్వించాడు. మరో హీరోయిన్ జజ్బా సింగ్, బ్రహ్మాజీ హీరో ఫ్రెండ్స్ గా నటించిన నటులు… అదేవిధంగా మిగిలిన నటీనటులు కూడా తమ పాత్రలకు పూర్తి న్యాయం చేశారు.
మైనస్ పాయింట్స్:
సినిమాలో మెయిన్ పాయింట్ పర్వాలేదనిపించినా.. ట్రీట్మెంట్ అండ్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే మాత్రం ఆకట్టుకోవు. అవసరానికి మించి మాస్ మసాలా సన్నివేశాలు ఎక్కువైపోయాయి. కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలకు అయితే సరైన ప్లో కూడా ఉండదు. పైగా సెకండాఫ్ కొంత ల్యాగ్ అనిపించి అక్కడక్కడ బోర్ కొడుతుంది.
ఇక లవ్ సీన్స్ కూడా ఏ సీన్ కి ఆ సీన్ కథ ప్రకారమే సాగుతున్న భావన కలిగించినా.. ఓవరాల్ గా కథనం మాత్రం ముందుకు నడిపించవు. పైగా కొన్ని కామెడీ అండ్ లవ్ సీన్స్ కోసమని సినిమా లెంగ్త్ ని పెంచేయడం సినిమాకి మరో మైనస్ పాయింట్. దీనికి తోడు సినిమాలో అక్కడక్కడ బూతులు శృతిమించాయి.
మొత్తానికి దర్శకుడు తానూ అనుకున్న కంటెంట్ ను స్క్రీన్ మీద గొప్పగా ఎలివేట్ చేయలేకపోయారు. సినిమాను ఇంట్రస్టింగ్ ఎలెమెంట్స్ తో ఆసక్తికరంగా మలచలేకపోయారు. కంటెంట్ పరంగా మంచి భావోద్వేగాన్ని పండించే ప్రేమ సన్నివేశాలు రాసుకునే అవకాశం ఉన్నా, దర్శకుడు మాత్రం నాలుగు రొమాంటిక్ సీన్స్ అండ్ సాంగ్స్ నే హైలెట్ గా భావించి సినిమాని నడిపించారు.
సాంకేతిక విభాగం :
సాంకేతిక విభాగం గురించి మాట్లాడుకుంటే.. దర్శకుడు టిఎన్ కృష్ణ కొన్ని ప్రేమ సన్నివేశాల్లో మెప్పించే ప్రయత్నం చేసినా, పూర్తి స్థాయిలో ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా కథా కథనాన్ని మాత్రం రాసుకోలేదు. ఇక ఆర్ డి రాజేష్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. గోవాలో వచ్చే దృశ్యాలన్నీ ఆయన చాలా అందంగా చూపించారు.
ఇక సంగీత దర్శకుడు నివాస్ కె ప్రసన్న అందించిన పాటలు పర్వాలేదనిపస్తాయి. ప్రవీణ్ కె ఎల్ ఎడిటింగ్ బాగుంది. నిర్మాత కలైపులి ఎస్ థాను పాటించిన ప్రొడక్షన్ వాల్యూస్ కూడా చాలా బాగున్నాయి.
తీర్పు :
టిఎన్ కృష్ణ దర్శకత్వంలో కార్తికేయ, దిగంగన సూర్యవంశి హీరో హీరోయిన్లుగా తెరకెక్కిన ఈ రొమాంటిక్ డ్రామా పెద్దగా ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయింది. అయితే థీమ్ తో పాటు సినిమాలో యూత్ కి నచ్చే ఎలిమెంట్స్, కార్తికేయ నటన, కొన్ని డైలాగ్ లు సినిమాకి ప్లస్ పాయింట్స్ గా నిలవగా.. కథా కథనాలు ఆసక్తి కరంగా సాగక పోవడం, సినిమాలో కథకు అనవసరమైన కామెడీ అండ్ ప్రేమ సీన్స్ ఎక్కువుగా ఉండటం.. అన్నిటికి మించి సినిమాలో సరైన ప్లో మిస్ అవ్వడం, అలాగే స్లోగా సాగుతూ బోర్ కొట్టించడం.. వంటి అంశాలు సినిమా ఫలితాన్ని దెబ్బ తీశాయి. మరి ఇలాంటి చిత్రాన్ని తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులు ఎంతవరకు ఆదరిస్తారనేది చూడాలి.

RX 100 fame Kartikeya is back with yet another youthful romantic drama, titled Hippi. Directed by TN Krishna, the film is out for public viewing today. Let’s see how it is.
Story:
Hippi Devadas (Kartikeya), who is already in a relationship with a girl named Sneha, falls for her close friend Amuktamalyada (Digangana Suryavanshi) and breaks up with the first girl. After a constant pursuit by Deva, Amuktamalyada finally says yes to his proposal. The actual story begins when they both get into a serious relationship. What sort of insecurities will the young couple face during this course of time? Will they continue their relationship and make it an everlasting one? To know this, you have to catch the film in theaters near you.
Plus Points:
Hero Karthikeya’s makeover as a stylish and trendy youngster is good. He maintained a well-toned physique and surprises with his six-pack abs.
Heroine Digangana Suryavanshi is the show stealer. She impresses with her cute looks. Her screen presence and energetic performance bring depth to the proceedings to an extent.
The chemistry between the lead pair is showcased in a realistic way. The romantic episode between the lead pair during the climax will enthrall the young audience.
It’s good to see JD Chakravarthy on the screen after a brief gap. He is okay in his role. Comedian Vennela Kishore evokes a few laughs with his spontaneous funny dialogues.
Minus Points:
The main drawback of the film is that it lacks a proper flow in the narration. From the first scene itself, you get a feeling of watching yet another typical love story with unbearable narration.
The crucial drama and romance between the lead pair are not established in the right manner, as unnecessary arguments come your way all the time.
In an overview, though the film is a straight Telugu film, somewhere the proceedings make you feel as if you are watching a dubbing film.
Technical Aspects:
Director TN Krishna’s main idea of making a love story set in contemporary times is good. But sadly, he forgot to update his narrative style. Right from the screenplay to the narration, the film is handled in an old fashion and hence the proceedings became predictable.
Editing by Praveen K. L is not up to the mark, as close to twenty minutes of the film can be easily chopped off. Cinematography by R. D. Rajasekhar is just about okay and could have been better. But he nicely captured Goa in two songs.
Music by Nivas K. Prasanna is decent, as two romantic numbers in the first half are good. His background score fails to create magic at the crucial juncture of the film. Production values by top producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s V Creations are top notch.
Verdict:
On the whole, Hippi is a stylish romantic film which fails to impress the audience. Hero Karthikeya and heroine Digangana take the lead and make the proceedings appealing, but abrupt narration with double meaning dialogues totally spoil the plot, making it a boring watch this weekend.
