Star actress Samantha Akkineni has recently entered the digital space with a special talk show ‘Sam Jam’, which is available to on OTT platform Aha. The show is about interviewing several celebrities and the recent episode in which Rana and Nag Ashwin participated was quite impressive.
The latest guest to appear on the show is actress Tamannaah Bhatia. Glimpses of their conversation on the show were released on Thursday. Samantha asked Tamannaah some interesting questions in the rapid-fire round, where the celebrities have to give swift answers.
During the rapid fire, Samantha asked if the rule of no kissing on screen is broken, who would she kiss first. The Milky beauty replied Tollywood sensation Vijay Devarakonda’s name.
A question about love also came up between their talk then Samantha states that Akhil is a bit young, but Tamannaah says that Love has nothing to do with age. Going by the promo, we can understand that the episode will be very fun and exciting.

The wait is finally over.Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated ambitious period drama Syeraa Narasimha Reddy is hitting the screens worldwide amid massive expectations.Let’s find out if SyeRaa lives up to the hype and hysteria or not.
Story: The film is based on the Palegar of Rayalaseema , Majjari Narasimha Reddy, who revolted against the atrocities of British Raj in 1847. Narasimha was one of the 61 independent palegars of the region who is under Biritish system and pay taxes. The conflict begins when drought hits seema and the British still insist to pay tax on land. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been executed on BIG scale , beginning with showcasing Britishers’ atrocities in the region. Narration is slow paced initially but that is adequate to build up the required emotion against the rulers. As interval approaches the film picks up the pace.
The scene in which first time Narasimha Reddy revolts against Officer Jackson came out well , followed by a high intense Interval block. Director surender takes a cue from S.S.Rajamouli here. Even though Megastar Chiranjeevi shows his age in few scenes, one has to appreciate his conviction and gumption to do this role. Given the age ( 30 years ) of the protagonist in the story , Producer Charan himself would have been T fit for this role. Nevertheless , performance wise chiranjeevi gave his best. His dialogue delivery is good.
Second half starts off with some cinematic elevations and works with masses for 30 minutes. Then onwards back to back fights between Britishers and Renadu area palegars come in sequence. Most of the action sequences by Greg Powell, Lee Whittaker, Ram-Laxman and A Vijay are far from realisitc, but from mass point of view may be a necessity. Cinematic liberty in historical films is acceptable , but higher degreee of distortion might not be.
When did Narasimha Reddy and troops kill 10,000 British Army ? Killing of so many thousands of British troops would have highlighted Narasimha Reddy on world history books. In addition, the scale of war episodes are mounted as if two gigantic empires ( likes of Maratha Sivaji empire ) are at war. Factually Narasimha Reddy was hardly a leader for 4-5 Taluks , who majorly performed guerilla warfare. Here we’re not undermining the patriotism of the person, but highlighting the way it has been portrayed and played to galleries.
Another fact is Narasimha’s wife Siddhamma passed away before he was captured by Brits. But , in film she was shown alive when Narasimha was caught An emotional climax works, but it is coupled with unnecessary mass heroism shots.
Performances: Narasimha Reddy (Chiranjeevi) is the territorial administrative and military ruler of Uyyalawada. Following his guru Gosayi Venkanna’s (Amitabh Bachchan) advice, he becomes a fierce warrior and leader. The just ruler is committed to doing the best for his subjects. Though he falls in love with the beautiful dancer, Laxmi (Tamannaah), circumstances force him to marry Siddhamma (Nayanthara). Angered by the atrocities that his people are subjected to by the East India Company, he joins hands with other rulers, like Avuku Raju (Sudeep) and Raja Pandi (Vijay Sethupathi) to start a rebellion. He not only has to battle the Britishers, but also has to deal with some of his own people, who are out to sabotage his mission. Narsimha Reddy’s brave battle proved to be the inspiration for the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
The film is based on a real story, and like many other subjects that stem from historical period, the makers have taken creative liberties to make the narrative of this one more dramatic. Chiranjeevi is in good form as the leader of the rebellion. The actor proves that he can make even the seemingly impossible look possible. With excellent screen presence, Sudeep makes a great impression. His chemistry with Chiranjeevi makes you wish for more screen time for the two actors. Both Nayanthara and Tamannah, are competent in their parts and do the best they can within the limited scope that their roles offer. Amitabh Bachchan’s appearance is brief, but impactful. The film releases in five languages including, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Unfortunately, it’s the writing that lets the film down. The screenplay and direction by Surender Reddy falters at several points in the narrative.
At two hours and 50 minutes, the film is a tad too long and needed a tighter edit. The dialogues of a subject with so much of depth definitely needed to add more weight. In the second half, the story picks up, and the real action kicks in. Most of the stunts (by Greg Powell, Lee Whittaker, Ram-Laxman and A Vijay) are far from realisitc, but it makes for a good watch. The music is passable, but the awkward lyrics do stick out.

A commercial hit film that portrays rebellion Narasimha Reddy story effectively. Producer Charan delivers a dream project for his dad with ample help from Director Surender Reddy.

కథేంటంటే: దత్త మండలాలతో కూడిన రేనాడు ప్రాంతాన్ని 61మంది పాలెగాళ్లు చిన్న చిన్న సంస్థానాలుగా చేసుకుని పరిపాలన సాగిస్తుంటారు. అయితే, ఎవరి మధ్యా ఐకమత్యం ఉండదు. ఒకరంటే ఒకరికి పడదు. రేనాడుపై పన్ను వసూలు చేసుకునే హక్కు ఆంగ్లేయులు పొందడంతో ఎవరికీ స్వయం పాలన ఉండదు. మరోవైపు వర్షాలు లేక, పంటలు పండక ప్రజలు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు పడుతుంటారు. పంటలు పండకపోయినా పన్నులు కట్టాలని ప్రజలను ఆంగ్లేయులు హింసిస్తుంటారు. అలాంటి సమయంలో మజ్జారి నరసింహారెడ్డి(చిరంజీవి) అనే పాలెగాడు ఆంగ్లేయులపై ఎలా పోరాటం చేశాడు? ఐకమత్యం కొరవడిన 61మంది పాలెగాళ్లను ఎలా ఏకతాటిపైకి తీసుకొచ్చాడు? వీరారెడ్డి(జగపతిబాబు), అవుకు రాజు(సుదీప్), పాండిరాజా(విజయ్ సేతుపతి), లక్ష్మి(తమన్నా)లు తొలి స్వాతంత్ర్యపోరాటంలో నరసింహారెడ్డికి ఎలా సహకరించారు? చివరకు నరసింహారెడ్డి పోరాటం ప్రజల్లో స్వాతంత్ర్యకాంక్షను రగిలించిందా? తెలియాలంటే సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే!
ఎలా ఉందంటే: ఝాన్సీపై ఆంగ్లేయులు దాడి చేయటంతో కథ ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. తొలి స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటం చేస్తున్నది మనం కాదని, అంతకుముందే ఆంగ్లేయులను ఉయ్యాలవాడ నరసింహారెడ్డి అనే వ్యక్తి గడగడలాడించాడని అతని గురించి లక్ష్మీబాయి(అనుష్క) తన సైనికులకు వివరించడంతో ‘సైరా’ కథ మొదలవుతుంది. రేనాడులోని చిన్న చిన్న సంస్థానాలు, వాటి మధ్య ఐకమత్యం లేకపోవడం, మరోపక్క పంటలు పండకపోయినా పన్నులు కట్టాలని ఆంగ్లేయులు ప్రజలను హింసించడంతో నెమ్మదిగా కథలోకి తీసుకెళ్లే ప్రయత్నం చేశాడు దర్శకుడు. అయితే, ఆరంభ సన్నివేశాలన్నీ పాత్రల పరిచయం కోసం వాడుకున్నాడు. 61 సంస్థానాలు వాటిల్లో పన్నులు వసూలు చేసేందుకు ఆంగ్లేయులు చేసే అకృత్యాలను కళ్ల కట్టినట్లు చూపించారు. ప్రజల కష్టాలను చూసిన నరసింహారెడ్డి ఆంగ్లేయులపై పోరాటం చేయడానికి ఏం చేశాడు? ఐకమత్యంలేని సంస్థానాలు ఏకతాటిపైకి పైకి తీసుకొచ్చేందుకు చేసిన ప్రయత్నాలతో ప్రథమార్ధం సాగుతుంది. ముఖ్యంగా విరామానికి ముందు ఆంగ్లేయులతో నరసింహారెడ్డి చేసే పోరాట సన్నివేశాలు ఒళ్లు గగురుపొడుస్తాయి. దీంతో కథలో ప్రేక్షకుడు మరింత లీనమవుతాడు. బ్రిటిష్ అధికారి జాక్సన్ తల నరికి ఆంగ్లేయులకు పంపడంతో సెకండాఫ్లో ఏం జరుగుందన్న ఉత్సుకత ఏర్పడుతుంది.
అయితే, అందుకు తగ్గట్టుగానే ద్వితీయార్ధాన్ని కూడా మలిచాడు దర్శకుడు. కథ, కథనాల్లో వేగం పెంచాడు. రేనాడులో నరసింహారెడ్డి పోరాటం గురించి బ్రిటిష్ ప్రభుత్వానికి తెలియడం, దాన్ని అణచివేసేందుకు ఆ ప్రాంతానికి అత్యంత క్రూరుడైన మరో అధికారిని పంపడంతో ద్వితీయార్ధం ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఇక్కడి నుంచే కథ మరింత రసకందాయంలో పడుతుంది. కథలో నాటకీయత మొదలవుతుంది. ఒకపక్క నరసింహారెడ్డి మిగిలిన సంస్థానాధీశుల్లో స్వాతంత్ర్యపోరాట స్ఫూర్తిని రగిలించి అందరినీ ఏకతాటిపై తీసుకొచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేయడం తదితర సన్నివేశాలతో సాగుతుంది. ఇక్కడే దర్శకుడు కమర్షియల్ ఎలిమెంట్స్కు ఎక్కువ ప్రాధాన్యం ఇచ్చాడు. చిరంజీవిలోని మాస్ ఇమేజ్. స్టార్ డమ్ను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని ఆయా సన్నివేశాలను రాసుకున్నాడు. అవుకురాజు, వీరారెడ్డి, బసిరెడ్డి పాత్రలు నరసింహారెడ్డికి సహకరిస్తున్నాయా? లేక వెన్నుపోటు పొడుస్తున్నాయా? అన్న ఉత్కంఠను ప్రేక్షకుల్లో కలిగించేలా సన్నివేశాలు ఉంటాయి. ముఖ్యంగా చిరంజీవి నుంచి ప్రేక్షకులను ఏం ఆశిస్తారో అవన్నీ దర్శకుడు దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకున్నాడు. దీంతో ద్వితీయార్ధంలో తీసిన పోరాట ఘట్టాలు రోమాంచితంగా చిరు అభిమానులకు పండగలా ఉంటాయి. అయితే, అతి చిన్నదైన సైరా సైన్యం 10వేలమంది ఆంగ్లేయ సైన్యాన్ని చంపడం ఇవన్నీ కొంత లాజిక్కి దూరంగా సాగే సన్నివేశాలే. క్లైమాక్స్లో మరింత లిబర్టీ తీసుకున్నాడు దర్శకుడు. చరిత్రలో ఆంగ్లేయులు నరసింహారెడ్డిని ఉరితీసినట్లుగా ఉంది. అయితే క్లైమాక్స్కు భావోద్వేగాలు జోడించడంతో సినిమా విషాదాంతంగా ముగించినట్లు అనిపించకుండా జాగ్రత్తపడ్డాడు దర్శకుడు.
ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: చిరంజీవి ‘సైరా’ తన 12ఏళ్ల కలల ప్రాజెక్టు అని ముందు నుంచీ చెబుతున్నారు. అందుకు తగినట్లే ఆ పాత్రకు సిద్ధమయ్యారు. తన 150 చిత్రాల అనుభవం ఎలాంటిదో ‘సైరా’లో మనకు కనబడుతుంది. స్వాతంత్ర్యపోరాట యోధుడిగా చిరు ఆహార్యం, నటన ప్రధాన ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచాయి. ఇక పోరాట ఘట్టాల్లో ఆయన నటన అద్భుతం. నేటి యువ కథానాయకులకు దీటుగా యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాల్లో అదరగొట్టేశారు. సంభాషణలు పలకడంలోనూ చిరు తనదైన మార్కును చూపించారు. తన నుంచి అభిమానులు ఏం ఆశిస్తారో ఆయా అంశాలను అన్ని పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకుని తెరపై ఎన్నో జాగ్రత్తలు వహించారు.
నరసింహారెడ్డికి విద్యలు నేర్పి, స్వాతంత్ర్యపోరాట స్ఫూర్తిని రగిలించే గురువు గోసాయి వెంకన్నగా అమితాబ్ పాత్ర హుందాగా ఉంది. ఆ పాత్రలో ఆయన ఇమిడిపోయారు. ఇక అవుకు రాజుగా సుదీప్ నటనను మెచ్చుకోకతప్పదు. నరసింహారెడ్డి అంటే అసూయ కలిగిన వ్యక్తిగా చక్కగా నటించారు. అదే సమయంలో ఆంగ్లేయులపై చేసే పోరాటంలో నరసింహారెడ్డికి సహకరించడం ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఇక వీరారెడ్డిగా జగపతిబాబు పాత్ర భిన్న కోణాల్లో సాగుతుంది. మొదటి నుంచి నరసింహారెడ్డి వైపు ఉండే వీరారెడ్డి అనుకోని పరిస్థితుల్లో మారతాడు. బసిరెడ్డిగా రవికిషన్ మోసపూరిత పాత్రలో కనిపించారు. నరసింహారెడ్డి భార్య సిద్ధమ్మగా నయనతార చక్కగా సరిపోయింది. ఆ పాత్రలో చక్కగా నటించింది. ఇక ‘సైరా’లో మరో ప్రధాన పాత్ర తమన్నా, నరసింహారెడ్డి ప్రియురాలు లక్ష్మిగా చాలా చక్కగా నటించింది. తన డ్యాన్స్, పాటలతో ప్రజల్లో స్వాతంత్ర్యకాంక్షను రేకెత్తిస్తుంది. ఇక పాండిరాజాగా విజయ్సేతుపతి నటన ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఆంగ్లేయులపై నరసింహారెడ్డి చేస్తున్న పోరాటానికి తనవంతు సహకారాన్ని అందిస్తాడు. ఇతర నటీనటులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు నటించారు. పవన్కల్యాణ్ వాయిస్ ఓవర్, చివరిలో నాగబాబు స్వరం వినిపించడం మెగా అభిమానులను ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి.
సాంకేతికంగా.. ‘సైరా’కు దర్శకత్వం వహించమనగానే ‘సమయం కావాలి’ అని దర్శకుడు సురేందర్రెడ్డి ఎందుకు చెప్పాడో సినిమా చూస్తే అర్థమవుతుంది. చరిత్ర అర్థం చేసుకోవడం, చిరంజీవి స్టార్డమ్ను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని సన్నివేశాలు రాసుకోవడం ఇలా ఎన్నో అంశాలను ఆయన పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకున్నారు. దర్శకుడు తీసుకున్న ప్రతి జాగ్రత్త తెరపై కనపడుతుంది. చిరంజీవి సినిమా అంటే అభిమానులు ఏం ఆశిస్తారో వాటిని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని మరీ కథ, కథనాలను తీర్చిదిద్దాడు. పరుచూరి బ్రదర్స్ అందించిన కథకు మెరుగులు దిద్ది అద్భుతమైన విజువల్ వండర్గా రూపొందించాడు. స్టైలిష్ దర్శకుడిగా పేరున్న ఆయన చరిత్ర ప్రాధాన్యమున్న కథను అద్భుతంగా మలిచాడు.
ఇక ఇలాంటి సినిమాలకు సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ ప్రాణం. రత్నవేలు ప్రతి సన్నివేశాన్ని అద్భుతంగా తెరకెక్కించారు. దర్శకుడి ఊహలకు ఆయన ప్రతిబింబంగా నిలిచారు. ఈ సినిమా ప్రధాన బలం సంగీతం. అమిత్ త్రివేది, జూలియస్ ఫాఖియంలు ఇచ్చిన సంగీతం సినిమాకు ప్రధాన ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచింది. ముఖ్యంగా జూలియస్ నేపథ్య సంగీతం ప్రతి సన్నివేశంలో ప్రేక్షకుడు లీనమయ్యేలా చేసింది. విరామానికి ముందు వచ్చే సన్నివేశాలు, క్లైమాక్స్లో వినిపించే నేపథ్య సంగీతంతో ఒళ్లు గగురుపొడుస్తుంది. ‘సైరా’లో యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాలు హైలైట్గా నిలిచాయి. హాలీవుడ్ స్టంట్ డైరెక్టర్స్, గ్రెగ్పావెల్ అతని బృందం, రామ్లక్ష్మణ్లు తీర్చిదిద్దిన పోరాట ఘట్టాలు ప్రేక్షకులను విశేషంగా అలరిస్తాయి. బుర్రా సాయిమాధవ్ డైలాగ్లు చిరు అభిమానులను విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. రాజీవన్ ప్రొడక్షన్ డిజైన్ ఆనాటి రోజులను కళ్లకు కట్టింది.
ఇక చివరిగా చెప్పుకోవాల్సింది నిర్మాత రామ్చరణ్ గురించే. ఒక కథను నమ్మి ఈ స్థాయిలో ఖర్చు చేసి సినిమాను తీయడం నిజంగా ధైర్యమనే చెప్పాలి. తన తండ్రి కలల ప్రాజెక్టు అద్భుతంగా రావడానికి నిజంగా ఎంతో శ్రమించారు. ప్రతి ఫ్రేములోనూ భారీదనం కనపడుతుంది.
