Akkineni Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor is one of the first films to be announced as Sankranthi release. But the makers of the film backtracked as they are reshooting some episodes. As the film will take some more time to complete the shoot, the movie will surely miss the Pongal release date. Missing the Sankranthi season, there will not be a suitable time for release till summer.
If the reports are believed, Producer Bunny Vass and presenter Allu Aravind are thinking of releasing the film on OTT platform not waiting till Summer. However, Nagarjuna and Akhil are not interested in a digital release. They want the film to be released only in theatres. In such a case, the film may be released in February, which is generally considered to be the dry season for film releases.
Either way, conditions do not seem favourable to Akhil. After three flops at the box office, Akhil has pinned all his hopes on this film directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead. Bunny Vas and Vasu Varma are bankrolling it on GA2 Pictures.
