Nani and Sai Pallavi’s MCA is now remade in Hindi as ‘Nikamma’. Yesteryear’s actress Bhagya Shree’s son Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia are the lead actors and they did try to recreate the magic of Nani and Sai Pallavi from the original.
With Nani’s ‘MCA’ actress Bhumika Chawla commenced her second innings as character artist. Bhumika played sister-in-law (Vadina) to the protagonist in the movie and it was a pivotal role. Bhumika delivered a matured performance as it was packed with seriousness.
Bollywood’s tall beauty Shilpa Shetty is reprising Bhumika in the Hindi remake of ‘MCA’. The makers unveiled the trailer and Shilpa’s role has layers of comedy elements. The trailer shows Shilpa having a lot of fun troubling her brother-in-law i.e, the protagonist. But the latter part of the trailer is action packed and Shilpa manages to pull the socks.
‘Nikamma’ is directed by Sabbir Khan and the trailer has more drama and romance compared to the original film to suit the taste of northern audiences.
The film is getting a theatrical release on June 17th.
