Virat Becomes Indian captain with Highest Runs Against Australia

Records are not new for Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is often dubbed as Run Machine and Chase Master by the media and cricket analysts. In his career, he has achieved many milestones. The Run Machine has reached one more milestone of making the most Test runs against Australia as an Indian capital. He now has 851 runs against the Aussies team in the longest form of the game. Virat Kohli has broken the 51-year record which was previously held by MAK Pataudi. In 10 tests as the captain of India, he scored 829 runs.

Virat Kohli missed the chance of breaking the record of having the most number of centuries held by Ricky Point who has 41 test centuries. Virat got run out when he was on 74 and missed the chance of reaching the century.

The mix-up between Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane costed Virat Kohli’s wicket. Rahane called for a single and chanced his decision and said no when Virat was halfway the pitch. The Indian team led by Virat Kohli has won the 2018-19 edition of the Border  Gavaskar Trophy by 2-1 and hoping to retain the trophy. While the Aussies team is looking to win the trophy as revenge for the last edition loss.
