Heartless-2014-filmTalented actor Adhyayan Suman, has been trying hard to give a desperate hit at the box office. His dad, Shekhar Suman has now taken thing in his hand and has directed Adhyayan’s latest venture Heartless. The movies also stars Ariana Ayam, Om Puri and Deepti Naval in other lead roles. Let’s read on to see whether Shekhar Suman give his son a much needed hit.

Aditya (Adhyayan Suman) is a business tycoon, who has been brought up by his single rich mother Gayatri (Deepti Naval). He leads a happy life and falls deeply in love with Ria (Ariana Ayam).

When things seem to be going fine, Aditya gets a massive heart stroke. After a series of tests, the doctors reveal that Aditya has a fatal heart disease. The only option left is a heart transplant surgery. A helpless Aditya gets in touch with his friend and surgeon Sameer (Shekhar Suman) and entrusts him with his life.

Will his trust over Sameer prove to be a right step? Will Aditya get a successful heart transplant ? For all these questions you need to watch the film on the big screen.

Positive Points:

After seeing the film, one can say that Shekhar Suman has undoubtedly done a lot of research and hard work..The official remake of the Hollywood film Awake has been adapted quite nicely by Shekhar.

Speaking about performances, Adhyayan has done a good job, especially in the emotional department. The rest of the cast including Deepti and Om Puri are excellent in their respective roles.

Second half of the film is quite interesting and showcases the real intent of the film. The twist in the tale is the one to watch out for.

Negative Points:

The romance between Adyayan and Ariana is confusing and happens over the course of a few romantic songs. Too many songs are wrongly placed in the plot.

Even though Adhyayan has shown off his acting talent in the film, he could have been supported with a better co-star. Araina lacks the potential to be called an actress.

The first half of the film is routine and emphasizes more on the romance rather than the actual theme of the film.

Technical Points:

While the first half doesn’t have anything interesting to offer, the second half of the film contains the real content and keeps the audiences engaged.

Shekhar Suman’s direction is excellent and so is the cinematography. Editing could have been better in the first half. Locations are mind-blowing and so are a few songs. Dialogues are simple and clean.

The medical terminology that has been used is clearly explained and makes it easy for the common audience.

On the whole, the concept of Heartless sounds interesting and has been executed in the best way possible. Apart from a few disappointing romantic scenes, this film is watchable only for the message it gives out.
