Team India lost the second ODI against Australia and lost the 3-match ODI Series. The Aussies won the first ODI as part of a three-match ODI series and also won the second ODI today. The result ended 2-0 with a match still to be played.
The Aussies, who batted first in the second ODI, scored 389 and left a mammoth target in front of India. Chasing the big target, Team India lost 9 wickets in the allotted overs and were restricted to 338 runs. The defeat was inevitable as Team India got a huge target to take their fight to the shore.
Skipper Virat Kohli and KL Rahul scored 89 of 87 balls and 76 of 66 balls respectively. But their efforts ended vain in finishing the match with a victory. Steve Smith top-scored with 104 off 64 balls and Aaron Finch, David Warner, Labuschagne and Glenn Maxwell all the four scored half-centuries with 60, 83, 70 and 63 scores respectively. The third ODI will be played on December 2 at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
