Huawei the Chinese handset manufacturer, who unveiled six new Android based devices at the IFA 2012 in September, has now teamed up with Spice for its entry level smartphone dubbed as S Huawei Ascend A100.
Spice has a widespread network of retail stored called Hotspot all over the country. Huawei has partnered with Spice in order to launch the Y100 smartphone, which can pose a tough competition to the low-end Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone in the same price tag.
S Huawei Ascend Y100 smartphone has the following specifications.
Dimensions & Weight: The handset carries a dimension of 106 x 56 x 10.9 mm and weighs around 100 grams.
Display: Ascend Y100 packs a 2.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution.
Processor: Being an entry level smartphone, the handset is equipped with an 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A processor under its hood.
OS: S Huawei Ascend Y100 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is an older version of the Google’s operating system.
Camera: The handset sports a 3.2MP rear camera and lacks a front camera for video calling.
Memory: Ascend Y100 has 512MB internal memory, 256MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB.
Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, the budget smartphone has 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR and GPS / aGPS features.
Battery: Ascend Y100 is loaded with a 1,050 mAh Li-ion battery delivering 300 hours standby and 5 hours talk time.

S Huawei Ascend Y100 is available for purchase from Saholic the online retailer for a price of Rs 5,990 in India. Also, it will be available within a week period of time at Hotspot and other retail stores.
