Facebook plans to launch On-line Shopping site

Hyderabad: In order to leverage its 120-crore user base, facebook has reportedly planned to foray into e-commerce by launching an online shopping portal. A ‘buy’ buttn will be added in the facebook home page. On pressing the buy button, the website will take you to another site while keeping the user logged into facebook.

But the plan is in the initial phase. Though facebook had said in its initial years that it will not enter into e-commerce, the recent deal between twitter and Amazon has changed its strategy. Being a social networking site, it faces the danger of hackers who can pilfer crucial personal info. We have to see if Mark Zuckerberg can do this.
