Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE Runs on Exynos SoC, Not Snapdragon 810: Report

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4-S-LTELast month Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE but did not mention any details about the handset’s processor. The handset was expected to be the first to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, but is now being said to feature the company’s own Exynos 5433 chipset instead.

A report from a Japanese website Rbmen (via Sammobile) adds that the firm will use Shanon 333 modem along with the chip. It is not yet clear if it is an Intel modem or not. If true, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE with Exynos 5433 will mark the third processor variant of the smartphone. The firm has already launched the handset with Exynos (7 Octa) and Snapdragon 805 processors.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE will be launching in the middle of this month in Korea and might be showcased in the upcoming CES 2015 event.

If the report is true, Samsung is still expected to use the Snapdragon 810 on the Galaxy S6 smartphone. A per the latest reports, the processor is in testing for Category 9 LTE network support. The processor is also said to power the rumoured LG G Flex successor as per a recent report. Preliminary leaks have pointed that the new 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 will include four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.9GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz.
