New Delhi: Following a string of leaks and rumours, HTC has finally announced the launch of its gigantic HTC One Max phablet. It is an enlarged version of the HTC One and has a 5.9-inch 1080p display. Weighing 217g, the HTC One Max is 10.3mm thick. Powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, the HTC One Max runs Android with HCT Sense. It has 2GB RAM, and will come in two variants – 16GB and 32GB.
It has a microSD card slot that supports a microSD card up to 64GB. The One Max has the same 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera as the HTC One. It features a 2.1 megapixel front camera. With the launch of the HTC One Max, the company introduces a new fingerprint scan feature. Located on the back of the device, the fingerprint scanner allows users to lock or unlock the screen and launch up to three applications by assigning an individual finger to each.
It has a micro SIM slot. The phone comes packed with a 3300 mAh battery. HTC Power Flip Case, a 1150mAh battery expansion for the HTC One max offers both protection and extra juice. Available in Glacial Silver, the HTC One max shares the same design credentials as the rest of the HTC One family. The HTC One max will begin rolling out across the globe from mid to end October.
